Materials and Details
Each lamp begins with clay, proportion, and the possibilities of working by hand. From the ceramic surface to the shade and finial, I consider every element as part of the finished piece.
Explore the materials and details that give the collection its character.
Form & Scale
Tall and slender, low and generous, softly tapered—each form brings a different presence to a room.
The forms shown here offer a guide to the collection’s proportions. Individual listings include measurements for each finished lamp, including its shade.
Clay Palette
The natural color and texture of the clay are part of the design. Warm whites, sandy tones, rich browns, and deep charcoal create the foundation for each surface.
Glaze interacts with these clays in different ways, revealing texture and creating subtle shifts in color. Variations in forming, application, and firing make each piece individual.
Shades
Shade proportions are selected to complement each lamp’s form and the light it casts.
Fabric colors include Bone (White), Egg (Ivory), and Black. Each listing identifies the shade included with that lamp. If you have another color or proportion in mind, please inquire about alternatives.
Hardware & Finials
Metal finishes and ceramic finials complete the composition, connecting the lamp’s practical elements with its sculptural form.
Available choices depend on the individual piece. Please get in touch to discuss a finish or finial for a lamp you are considering.
A Lamp for Your Space
Choosing a lamp is about its relationship to everything around it—the height of a table, the scale of a room, the colors and objects you love.
If you would like help considering a piece, send me a photograph of your space and any relevant measurements. I’m happy to help you explore the possibilities.
